Esteban Guerrieri will be one of the contenders for victory in the Pre-season Esports WTCR Championship on RaceRoom. This is the Honda-powered ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport driver’s guide to a virtual Salzburgring.
“It’s quite a particular circuit. It has the long, long back straight, which is… well it’s very important of course, to have the top speed there and have a good exit from the previous corner that leads onto that back straight.
“It’s a bit of a fun combination with the slow chicane and that long straight, that you need to get both right to make a good lap time. That means [you need] to have a good braking performance, as well as low drag. So, basically, you have to combine both.
“It’s very fun; there are not many corners, but it’s fun to take the right-hander after the back straight which is almost flat-out, in sixth gear, so I’m looking forward to discovering that on the actual track.
“The track looks fun, there is a slow chicane and then you have to keep the momentum all around the corners – through the one that leads you to the back straight, and then the Esses and [then onto] the main straight. It’s challenging; even though there is only a few corners, you have to put the tyres in the right place to achieve the lap time.”
