Euro star: Four successful seasons in the FIA European Touring Car Cup underlined Nagy’s potential. And after finishing third in 2016, the Hungarian went one better in 2017.
Champion quality: Nagy is a former winner of the Hungarian SEAT León title, a feat he achieved in 2012.
The time is right for WTCR: “I’ve always said the TCR car is the best car for touring car because we can do some very nice racing. Because of this I always hoped that one day the world series could go with these types of car so we can really fight and now it’s happening, so it’s the best time for me to start my world career.”
Racing a favourite: Nagy’s WTCR campaign means he’ll come up against his compatriot Norbert Michelisz: “It’s a special thing because Norbi is one of my favourite drivers.”
Did you know? A high performance car driving instructor by day, Nagy keeps fit cycling, which is also his main interest away from the track.
