As well as welcoming all-season registrations, the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup accepts entries on a race-by-race basis.

This option appeals to drivers intent on showcasing their skills against the world’s best touring car racers that perhaps don’t have the funding required for a full campaign, or those wishing to contest their home WTCR event.

While race-by-race or ‘wildcard’ drivers are not eligible for points and must carry an extra 10 kilograms of compensation weight on top of any additional weight mandated by the 2021 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup Sporting Regulations, a number of benefits are available.

What’s included in the entry package?
It costs €5000 per car to enter the WTCR on a race-by-race basis and the acceptance of all wildcard entries is subject to FIA approval. The entry package per event includes:

  • 2 practice sessions (45 minutes and 30 minutes)
  • 1 qualifying session (at least 20 minutes of running time if eliminated in first stage)
  • 2 races (between 50-70 kilometres depending on venue)
  • Allocated pit garage/paddock area (depending on venue)
  • 7 pitlane passes
  • 3 car parking passes
  • Consultation session with Goodyear engineer
  • Pre-event and post-event press releases
  • Social media campaign
  • Participation in official portrait shoot
  • Articles and profile published on FIAWTCR.com
  • Driver considered for inclusion in pre-event virtual press conference and WTCR All Access
  • Coverage on WTCR’s global television feed
  • Profile provided to TV commentators
  • Participation in podium ceremony (if classified in top 3)
  • Eligible for TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy
  • Options to purchase paddock and/or WTCR VIP Club hospitality*
  • Inclusion in autograph session/promotional activities*
