The WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO has been a mixture of highs and lows for the leading drivers as BRC Racing Team’s Gabriele Tarquini can attest.

Hyundai-powered Tarquini made history by becoming the first driver to win in WTCR OSCARO when he triumphed in Race 1 at WTCR Race of Morocco in Marrakech back in April. But the euphoria of that weekend in North Africa was in stark contrast to the frustration he experienced at WTCR Race of Germany at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife.

“The first race in Marrakech was unbelievable,” remembers Tarquini. “I won the first race and the third race with pole position. It was a really, really great start to the season.”

He continued: “My lowest point of the season was in Nürburging because I crashed twice and had zero points. It was one of the lowest point of the season but also my career.”
