Why the devil is in the detail for WTCR racer Tassi
Attila Tassi has revealed the race number design he will use during the fast-approaching 2019 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO. And the Hungarian teenager says the devil is in the detail.
The HELL Energy-backed driver, who was announced as part of the Honda-powered KCMG line-up earlier this week, will carry the number ‘9’ on his Civic Type R TCR.
Preparing for his first full season in WTCR / OSCARO, Tassi explained his thinking behind his black and red design and, most notably, the inclusion of a devil.
“In everyday life I really prefer this colour combination, but it’s more impotent these colours associate with my my sponsor, HELL Energy. There is also a devil’s head in my logo which is there because maybe when you think I’m only a good boy, but inside of me there is a little devil that I hope I can show on track as well.”
WTCR / OSCARO promoter Eurosport Events is inviting drivers to submit their own race number designs for 2019. While they won’t feature on the sides or windscreens of the competing cars in accordance with the WTCR / OSCARO sporting regulations from the FIA, they will have a number of uses to appeal to fans, including television graphics and autograph session display material.
