In today’s WTCR Fast Five, Cyan Performance Lynk & Co driver Yann Ehrlacher talks Kimi Räikkönen, Bathurst and how he’ll get dressed when the Ningbo International Speedpark hosts WTCR Race of China from 13-15 September.

If you could pick two drivers to join you on the ultimate podium, no matter the category or era, who would you choose?
“I would pick Yvan [Muller, my uncle], of course then I would take Kimi Räikkönen. I like the way he is only concerned by the sport, by the main target, which is going quick and not thinking about anything else. That’s the personality I like.”

Your Lynk & Co 03 TCR carries the number 68. Why?
“We have regions in France and that’s the number of the region where I live. I won my first race with the 68 and that’s why I kept this number as much as possible.”

The WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO visits 10 great venues but imagine if you could add one more. So, what would it be?
“Bathurst. It’s another iconic track. We have quite a lot of iconic tracks on the calendar already, but Bathurst is another one with a lot of downhill and uphill and it can be quite good for the touring cars with all the kerbs and stuff.”

What’s the typical Yann Ehrlacher pre-race procedure?
“When I dress myself, I start always with the right side. When I put my t-shirt on it’s always the right arm first, the right leg for the pants, the right hand for the gloves. Then I cross my finger three times, I touch my head three times and I’m set to drive.”

Looking to the future, how will you keep busy when you eventually decide to stop racing?
“I just started to train myself to do triathlon and it takes quite a lot of time to train. So I would say ironman and long-distance events would be something I would like to do.”
